When I get bored I look up at the sky, sometimes I lay on my back to watch the clouds and relax. The other day I was laying down in a field of grass staring at the night sky and saw at least 9 planes fly by over time as I was watching the clouds go by. Seeing that many planes fly by made me realize how big the world really is. There is so much to see and do in this world, and it is impossible to really be bored with life. Being bored just means that you’re not looking hard enough for things to do. Travelling, learning, and experiencing new things are ways to fill our time. When I feel bored, I remember how many possibilities of what I can do there are. There is always a public library to find a book to read, an art you can try, an instrument you can learn to play, even websites that are just fun to browse or interesting to read. That’s barely scratching the surface of things to do. There is always work that everyone has to do whether you’re a child, teenager, or adult. Helping out around the house is one thing that everyone can do and other members of your family would appreciate. Cleaning your room is something you can do for yourself. When I get bored, I like to draw, practice or learn a song on guitar, read, and look up at the sky and think about things. Those are just things I can come up with off the top of my head, I like doing many other things too. When you really think about it, there is always plenty to do and a lot to see in this world.
Looking up at those planes in the night sky also made me think of how small the world can also be. In just a few hours you can travel across an entire ocean and see new places. Modern technology also makes the world a much smaller place, you can communicate with anyone in the world who also has a connection. The world today, is much smaller than it was in the past because of improved travel and modern technology, but that’s a good thing because it gives us more opportunities to explore this world both in real life and the internet. In this world, there is so much to do and explore. There are hundreds of experiences waiting for you in your area, and many more all around the world. It is up to us to choose to try new things and go see the world. This week I realized how much potential life has and that I shouldn’t waste it, but go and experience it myself. It is up to us to view the world differently.
